It is our aim to provide an educational environment where students learn and enjoy themselves simultaneously. Original language programmes are devised for all Euro Languages College courses by our team of Programme Directors who are among the most highly qualified and experienced people in their field in Ireland. These programmes are unique and under constant review to cater for the needs of our students and changes in examination syllabi.

What level of student is it suited to?
All secondary school students from first year to Leaving Certificate who have completed at least one year of language learning at secondary level.

How are the courses planned?
Very simply. Euro Languages College courses are so structured and so well planned that nothing is left to chance. Students are occupied at all times in class or during recreational activities. They have constant supervision. Language learning on the course is not just confined to the classroom, but involves a variety of cultural, sporting and other recreational activities. A key objective is to lower anxiety levels so that students learn in a relaxed and informal way. They experience a French, German or Spanish speaking environment all day everyday.

Classes
On arrival at our courses students are tested to ensure they are placed in a suitable class. Classes are held 6 mornings a week (Monday - Saturday). These classes prepare students for Junior and Leaving Certificate examinations and teach the language needed to converse and communicate in French / German / Spanish in the college every day. In particular the classes concentrate on:

  • developing oral fluency
  • revising basic grammatical structures
  • practising for oral and aural examinations
  • preparation for written examinations

Each student's progress is monitored and a written report is sent to parents at the end of the course.
